Tryouts: Day 2

By Kris, August 13, 2009 9:10 pm

Today’s tryouts were so much better than yesterday’s. Today we just did 2 hours of sprints (it might sound hard, but it wasn’t, trust me) and then we played soccer for the last 50 minutes or so. We did 4v4 teams and we alternated to change the oppositions, our team went undefeated. Not really because of me, no, but we played well as a team. Also, a kid ran into me and his knee hit me on my rear end, and it kinda hurts to sit down. He hit me so hard that he brought back knee injuries that he hasn’t had since last season. He was basically sprinting! Yeah, but anyway, then I got home and drove my mom to D&W to get some groceries, and she was nit-picking at the way I parked. I pulled into a space, and then pulled forward into the space in front of it, so I could pull out facing the traffic, thus making it easier on me to leave. My mom disapproved, and said it was going to make things complex (she had it backwards), so she made me pull ahead another row into a parking space so I had to back out when I left. Sidenote: All parking spaces were at an angle, too.

Also, my girlfriend’s computer’s screwed up. Her little brother (she said it was him) downloaded a game demo (a game that doesn’t have a demo) and got lots of viruses and stuff, and it really screwed up the OS. My dad checked it out and told me to re-install Windows for them, and they should be set, except for maybe a few viruses that I could take out in Safe Mode. But before I could, we had to leave for the beach. So I never got to that. Then I get a call, and her dad wanted me to go there and fix it, then connect internet to their other computer, and he was going to pay me, so I said okay and that was that. But then he tells me yesterday that he had a buddy check it out and the buddy said to format the hard drive. So he gave it to the friend to format at his house. That bothered me a little bit. Had I just re-installed Windows and removed any excess viruses, they could have had their computer back by today. But instead, they don’t even have a hard drive right now, and then when they get it back, they have to re-install windows, except this time, all of their precious files and downloads will be gone forever. It just made me a little confused as to why he would wait the extra time to accomplish the same thing, and end up losing so much. I don’t know, it was his choice, not mine to make. But I still have to hook up their other computer to the internet soon, I don’t know when that will be.

Oh well, I suppose this is a long enough post. It’s not like anybody even reads this blog.

But there’s something else I must talk about. Michael Vick being signed onto the Eagles. This made me very made. Especially at the Eagles, my favorite team. I loved the Eagles, I’ve got jerseys, shirts, sweatshirts, posters, cards, etc. I’ve got tons of things that show off how much I liked the Eagles, and I lost virtually all of that respect for them today. Michael Vick doesn’t deserve to play in the NFL, and it makes me angry that he gets to not only play, but on my favorite team. I hate Michael Vick, I used to think he was all right prior to his dog fighting troubles, but now…now he’s just crazy.
