Today was another soccer game, we tied 0-0. That’s not good at all. We were so much better than the other team, but we made the same stupid mistakes the entire game. Oh well, next time we play them, on their own turf, we’ll have to show them how the game should have went.
Other than that, nothing has happened.
This is the blog’s 100th post. How exciting.
Yesterday Lindsay and I hung out, and today was the same. Only yesterday I cleaned my room and packed a good portion of it into boxes, because we might be moving. Anyway, that’s basically why I didn’t post today, and why I’m late to posting today. I’ve been with her.
Tomorrow is our third soccer game, I feel confident against this school, but I can never be too sure, they could surprise us. Anyway, Lindsay’s going to be at the game, and afterwards she might come over, and we might go together to see District 9. We were originally going to see Inglorious Basterds, but she wants to see that, and I really don’t think she understands how Quentin Tarantino films tend to be. I might make her watch the first volume of Kill Bill or something, so she gets the idea.
Well today’s practice was…interesting. It began great, because our coach was pleased with how well we did at the game yesterday. So we worked on a combination of crossing, volleying, and shooting. Then we worked on chipping the ball and getting some distance, which has never been one of my strong-points without kicking with my toe. After that the band kids all left and we played some 5v5 (something like that). Then one of our keepers was talking about how his ankle was hurt and so he wasn’t giving 100% so he didn’t hurt himself. Another player then start complaining about how he was being a crybaby and that he should still give all of his effort. So then they started arguing while playing, and it really ruined the scrimmage. The coaches got really mad, and made us do some suicides, then he had a talk with them, as well as the team captains for not controlling the situation. We ended with a penalty-shootout game where we stood in a line, and began running around the field. The first person in line ran to go take their PK, and the second person lead the line around the field. After the first person took their shot, they got in the back of the line and ran, while the second person went to take their shot. This went on for awhile. But while this went on, some people’s shots got blocked or they shanked the ball and missed entirely. In this case, they got a strike. Once they got 3 strikes, they were done, and they had to run around the field without shooting for the remainding duration of practice. We did this game last year, and I quite enjoyed it. I didn’t do quite as well as I hoped, but I still liked the game, because we could run at our own pace, and we didn’t have to keep the lines. We just had to remember who was next and who was after them.
Wow, that’s a long story.
This weekend I am probably going to go see Inglorious Basterds with my dad and (maybe) my mom. Should be fun, I loved Kill Bill.
