Yesterday I woke up to go to conditioning, and I brought my cleats because they told us to. So I assumed they were going to let us play soccer, I was wrong (you know what they say about assumptions). Nope, instead we ran 5 treacherous miles through a humid and shady (the two of them combined = lots of bugs) dirt road. How awesome! Not really, but then I went to Lindsay’s house soon after conditioning, and that just about sums up yesterday.
Today, I went to a soccer thing again, and we just played soccer for 3 hours. But it ended when my friend’s older brother (who’s going to college with soccer scholarships) did something to his ankle (I could hear it snap, it was nasty) and then that was that. Afterwards I just did nothing and then Lindsay came over a little bit later. She just left a few minutes ago.
I was going to post last night, but by the time I remembered, it was almost midnight, so I just decided to post later the next day. Which is now.
Anyway, both reunions were pretty fun, the first one was probably the better of the two, though. The people were more social with me, and they were easier to talk to. It also had a pool and a pool table, so that let me kill a lot of time. After the first reunion on Saturday, Lindsay came over and we watched What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, which I remember as being boring and stupid, but was actually pretty good. After the second reunion on Sunday, we went to Lindsay’s house and watched about half of Schindler’s List. I’d love it if it weren’t all in black and white. But I suppose that just sets a good tone.
So that’s just about it, today I’ve got no plans, I’ll probably just go running soon, then sit around bored for the rest of the day.
Yesterday I went to the fair again, and basically all I did was bring the camera with me on some rides. So now I’m just going to edit some of it together and make a nice little video.
Today I ran 3 miles, and that’s basically it.
Tomorrow, I’m going to a family reunion with Lindsay. Apparently it will be fun, because they’ve got a pool and I’ve met a good chunk of people that will be there, so it won’t be completely awkward.
My dad and I have a film idea, but we need to brainstorm and get a storyboard going before we do anything major.
