I apologize for not posting earlier. But I lost power during a storm (more details later) and didn’t get it back until a few minutes before I left to go to my girlfriend’s house. So I haven’t really had time to post.
I’ll edit this later with details.
Okay so I was hanging out at home with Lindsay, watching Reign Over Me (recently one of my favorite movies) and it was storming pretty good outside. It was raining quite heavily (water levels in the lake nearby were raised by a foot or two) and there was thunder and lightning constantly (but still not comparing to the night before, where there was lightning and no thunder, and the lightning was at least a flash/series or flashes every 1-2 seconds). Anyway, in the middle of the movie, there is this really bright flash of lightning (as if it were just out the window, lit up my room) and an explosion (of thunder) immediately after. Following that was screaming sisters upstairs and the power dying throughout the house. Now, at first I didn’t mind, but then I tried sleeping. Not fun. It was a long night. Worst of all I had my very first day of driving for driver’s ed in the early morning. All of that just seemed like a recipe for disaster.
But the drive went well, and we got power a little after 1PM, and a few minutes later I went to Lindsay’s house, where we swam in her pool and watched Food Network (lol).
Today, I slept in and went to Lindsay’s house for awhile. Pretty straight forward. Happy Father’s Day, everyone! Lol.
Driver’s training is done for this week, I am officially 1/3 of the way towards having my permit.
I don’t really have much else to say, tomorrow I may or may not post.
Today I wanted to wake up early and go for a run. Unfortunately I failed at that so I procrastinated and drank water to get ready to go running. I get outside and begin jogging. I wasn’t going to try and beat my mile time, it was going to be endurance. I only got a quarter mile before my knees both began to lock up and hurt quite bad. I thought I could run through it but it never went away. So I headed back home and admitted failure. It was really disappointing, and I hope things go better tomorrow.
Drivers Education has been so boring. I got back from my third day a little over an hour ago, and it is so easy, it’s almost sad. All we’ve done is learn signs, signals, how to turn a car, and a bunch of tiny stuff. We’ve had homework every day and none of it’s been difficult. I start actually driving on Saturday, that’s when things will get difficult, but until then, Drivers Ed is just that thing I go to every day and watch videos about cars.
It’s summer, and with summer comes many new and anticipated movies. I got to see “Up” awhile back and loved every minute of it, although I’d need to see it again to comfirm it better than WALL-E. Now there’s just a lot of movies I want to see, I could list quite a few. But at the very top of that list would be “The Hangover”. It’s got such great reviews and everybody that I know that’s seen it has only had great things to say for it. I asked my dad if we could go see it and he said no. I guess there’s a lot of sex and nudity in the movie. What a bummer. Next is probably Year One, which I will obviously see, then the new Transformers movie, which I doubt will live up to the first one. So then, I guess, would be Land of the Lost, only because of Will Ferrel and Danny McBride. After that, Terminator, no particular reason. After that there really isn’t much of an order, they’re just movies I’d like to see.
