Happiness 2.5

I don’t update on my life enough. So here’s some of the recent events of my life.

Our family got a little smaller this week. Our beagle was put down a couple days ago. She was very old (nobody knew her age, vets told us she was much older than beagles tend to live, though) and her body just began to shut down on her.

We tried medications, and they seemed to help for a couple weeks, then she just went downhill, fast. I was disappointed that it had come to this; the young beagle that used to get into the trash and pick on our golden retriever was suddenly a bed-ridden mess who could hardly support her weight or bladder. Here is one of the last pictures taken of her, just hours before she was put down. I took it with my phone, and the reason she looks so lively is because we popped some popcorn to share with her on her last day (it was her favorite).

Today, I had a soccer game against those nasty Bosnians I’ve mentioned in previous posts. I was feeling at the top of my game today, and apparently the rest of our team was, too. We dominated them, 6-0. I managed to get a hat-trick, my second one during indoor soccer. I believe those 3 of mine brings my total goals this season to 10. I was excited that I scored so many, but I was also pleased to know that the High School varsity soccer coach had come to watch our game, so hopefully he noticed me and will remember it come soccer tryouts.

Also, this morning, Lindsay went to a local university and sung in front of some judges. She got all 1’s (which is the best you can do) and she is not going to a state singing competition. I’m very proud of her =) Great job, Lindsay!

Now on to a new, and hopefully exciting subject (it is for me):

That’s right. I’ve designed Resonant Blogger 2.5 for this site, and while it might look very similar to the current theme, it is very different. I’ve also made sure that it will be easily supported by all browsers, unlike this one (poor IE users see sharp corners on the posts). This new look should eliminate that entirely. The only problem is that over these past few months, I haven’t coded nearly as much as I’d wanted to, so I’ve forgotten a lot of the necessary stuff.  Oh well, it’ll happen eventually, but do not expect it to happen anytime really soon.
