Paratroopers Review
Paratroopers is an application (game) for the Palm Pre. I recently purchased it for myself after being blown away by the Trial. The object of the game is very simple: Drop your soldiers out of the plane, and tilt the phone to get them to land on the red X marked on the ground below. When you start out, the game is quite simple. But as games tend to go, as you progress, it gets much harder. Soon enough, your soldiers stop deploying their chutes, making it your job to tap them so they do. Not only that, but soon enough, some physical obstacles get in your way, such as buildings, and windmills that chop your men to little pieces.
I’ve played the trial over and over, because it is just so much fun! It’s always tricky when you try to jump more than one paratrooper, and they sort of scatter by accident due to wind or poor handling. Now although I have been disappointed that the Palm Pre’s app store still lacks that many programs and games, this is definitely the store’s best product. I purchased it for only $1.99 and I would definitely give this addicting game a 4/5. The only downside being that the game tends to lag just a little if you try to jump too many paratroopers at once (usually this happens once the sixth or seventh soldier jumps out of the plane.
So for anybody that happens to have a Palm Pre (I’d be surprised if any of my 3 readers had one), this is definitely a game worthy of a purchase.
