Just the other day I went and saw Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland in 3D. Now, I probably would have liked this movie if I had known it is supposed to be a sequel to the animation. The whole time I was just comparing storylines, and at the time I was upset.

It’s very different and much darker than the cartoon. After learning from my girlfriend that it’s a sequel, I wanted to walk back into the theater and watch it again, but with a new mindset.

If you’re planning on seeing it in 3D, don’t. It’s nothing special. If you’ve seen Avatar in 3D, then this will only make you wish the 3D was as immersive as Avatar’s was. It didn’t make the movie any more enjoyable for me.

I don’t want to say much about this movie because, honestly, there isn’t much to explain. It’s ridiculously random and fast-moving (even thought it’s a 2 hour film). But I will say this: Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are the bee’s knees.

Oh yeah, and did anyone know that Alice is supposed to be 7 years old (roughly) in the Classic Disney version? I thought that was ridiculous.

Because obviously when I drive it looks like this.

Earlier today I finally passed Segment 2 of Driver’s Training. So now the only thing I have to do before I get my license is pass a course test. The course is just driving around town as the teacher evaluates how you react to different situations. But before you can go out and drive, you must first pass the skills portion.

Here, you must first approach a line (supposed to represent a Stop Sign) and come to a complete stop 2 feet (around that) before the line. Then you must go into reverse and back into a garage. Finally, you pull out to the right and complete a successful parallel park. This weekend I’m going to go to an empty lot and practice for that part, because I heard that’s harder than the actual driving.

Let me back up for a moment, though. I had a pretty stupid teacher for this segment of Driver’s Ed. On the first (of 3) day, I was heading out of the parking lot, and she took a fast left turn in front of me and didn’t yield (I never saw her look in my direction). Then, today (day 3) a girl in my class came in and said to us that the same teacher almost crashed into her when she was pulling into the parking lot. Then another guy said the same thing happened to him on day 2. I thought that was ironic: The driving teacher can’t drive.

Also, my birthday is in 8 days…so I’ll hopefully be able to make a post that day. If not, then the day before/after. Right now I’ve got exams so it’s pretty crazy.

Dang, it’s been too long since my last post. Sorry about that. I haven’t exactly had much to say; I haven’t watched any movies lately (besides The Crucible in class, which was ridiculously bad, for the most part).

Anyway, I guess I’ll start out with some of the bigger news from the past half-month or so. Actually this happened Sunday afternoon; I was playing soccer at our game, and we were losing 2-3. Our goalie (who wasn’t having his best game, if you know what I mean) kicked the ball waaaay over my head. So I ran over to get it before our opponents did. As I got to it, a kid on their team tripped me from behind, and I fell forward, hitting my head on the wall (pretty hard, too) and landing on my wrist awkwardly, landing me in a splint that I now have to wear for 10 more days.

If you thought a new post couldn’t be this boring, it’s about to get worse! I recently finished reading “I Am The Messenger,” which was a pretty good book, but unbelievably simple vocabulary-wise. So, for more of a challenge, I decided to borrow my Dad’s copy of “No Country for Old Men” which I quite enjoy so far. But I don’t know how to pronounce the prisoner-guy’s name? Chigurh, or something like that. Anyways, the way I’m pronouncing it now, it basically rhymes with “bigger” so it would sound like “chigger”. How right am I? I haven’t seen the movie.

Also, I’ve been making design after design for v3 of this site, but I cannot find one that will be both easy to code and look nice. My friend Benje seemed to get it perfect with his flawless theme, and I’m very jealous of that. But he also has much more knowledge of how to code a website. I, after several months of drifting off of it, have no forgotten how to even get started.
